About
Belzec death camp was established in November 1, 1941 and was completed in February 1942. The camp closed in December of 1942. It was located in South Eastern Poland, within the Lublin District, near the remote village of Belzec, on the Lublin – Lvov railway line. It was built as part of "Aktion Reinhard", solely for the extermination of the Jews. 500,000-600,000 people died within less than a year. To kill the deportees, everyone was gassed in the many gas chambers that were located in this camp. This picture shows the Nazi leaders of the camp. The camp was supervised by an unknown red hard officer known as “the master”.
